De Appelaere is honderd procent zuiver appelsap. Gezond en lekker, zonder toevoegingen. De rijke smaak zit 'm in de uitgekiende combinatie van verschillende Hollandse appelrassen.

From Isle of Islay. This displays the best of both worlds: creamy, sweet vanilla from the bourbon barrels and dark chocolate and clove from the oloroso casks.

Deanston Virgin Oak

Un-chill filtered, from the Highlands. Nose: Fresh citrus, honeyed barley and a subtle hint of smoke. Toffee sweets pop up first on the palate, followed by a dollop of cream and oak notes. Oak spices on the finish.

Glenfarclas 15 Years

from the Highlands. Nose: Intense, powerful sherry. Cream sherry, almost… a touch of peppermint? Palate of Raisins, more sherry, orange peel, walnuts, dates. Incredibly long finish, complex, more of the Walnuts again. Water draws out sweetness. This is Christmas cake, not whisky, astonishing.

Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Finish

From the Highlands. Nose: Citrus peels and allspice. Notes of creamy vanilla, golden syrup, cocoa butter and black pepper. Palate: Spiced palate entry with notes of candied orange and Seville marmalade. A little dried pineapple and white chocolate. Finish: Medium finish with lingering sweet spices. Superbly fruity whisky with a lovely influence from a dessert wine cask.

Benromach

From Speyside. Matured for the first nine years in 4/5 bourbon and 1/5 sherry casks, then a year in sherry casks. Nose: Dry, barley, big on malt + oak. Dry pine, fruity. Sweet spices and maple fudge. Palate: Barley, slightly herbal, a little fruit, grassy. Big on malt, ground ginger. Finish: bittersweet. Ginger, dry sherry.

Connemara

From Ireland. Nose: Well-smoked and peated, heather freshness and floral notes with a honeyed sweetness and a little wood. Palate: Full and smooth with notes of malt and peat, honeyed smoke and barley sweetness. Finish: Long, pungent, honey and peat smoke.

Knob Creek Bourbon

Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (USA) Nose: Quite spicy and sweet. Melted salty butter on granary toast, toasty oak and a touch of rye with caramel sweetness. Palate: Peppy and full. Notes of candy floss and nut oil, a touch of spice and dark chocolate, a little spice and charred oak. Finish: Long with a touch of dryness, nut oils and vanilla spice.

Mackmyra Svenk Ek

From Sweden. Nose: Fresh, delicate fruit aromas with vanilla pods. Raspberry bushes, citrus. Palate: Vanilla cream, custard and more fruit. Red berries, boiled sweets and rich, warming bourbon. Finish: Spicy oak and apple pie whilst remaining light and nimble. Overall: Tremendous easy single malt whisky.

Nikka Coffey Grain

From Japan. Nose: Bourbon-like vanilla and corn notes with a herbal hint of Chamomile. Palate: Sweet, fruity flavors of melon, grapefruit and thick syrup, balanced by crunchy biscuits and fresh vanilla. Finish: The corn notes, sweet and vibrant, last on the finish. Overall: Fans of grain whisky should be pretty happy with this, as well as bourbon lovers.
